BetGames rolls out Hero gamification engine for operators

BetGames announced on 15th September 2025 the launch of Hero, a gamification engine built to increase player engagement, extend session duration and improve retention across its product range.

The tool allows operators to configure in-game challenges, shop items and personalised inbox messages through BetGames’ back office, giving partners control over how the feature is presented to their player base.

How it works

Players can earn experience points and coins by completing challenges, which feed into leaderboards. Points can be used to climb rankings and claim rewards, including bonuses and physical prizes.

Hero is designed to work across BetGames’ entire catalogue, spanning slots, RNG titles and live dealer games. The company said this cross-product structure is intended to support new game launches while also renewing player interest in older titles, creating opportunities for cross-sell between verticals.

The tool also includes personalised player profiles and tailored notifications, which BetGames says are intended to reinforce progression and reward loyalty, with the aim of keeping players engaged for longer and increasing their overall value to operators.

Operator perspective

Ian Catchick, Chief Product and Business Development Officer at BetGames, described Hero as a gamification engine built to increase engagement and retention through challenges, leaderboards and prizes. He said the tool was developed to give operators full control and customisation options so they can tailor it to their specific player base, and that it forms part of BetGames’ broader efforts to improve the player journey while helping operators get more value from its content.

BetGames supplies live dealer and fixed-odds betting games, and counts operators including Entain, Betway, Hollywoodbets, STS and Kaizen Gaming among its clients. The company has previously received industry recognition, including SBC’s Rising Star in Casino Innovation award in 2019, Live Casino Supplier of the Year and Leader of the Year in 2020, and AffPapa’s Live Casino Provider of the Year in 2023.
